Founding Managing Partner, Catalight Capital Young Sohn is Founding Managing Partner of Catalight Capital and Walden Catalyst Ventures. He brings more than 40 years of experience as a technology executive, entrepreneur, investor, and board member, with deep expertise in semiconductors, AI, and building and scaling transformative technology companies globally. Previously, Young served as Corporate President and Chief Strategy Officer of Samsung Electronics, where he led global strategy, innovation, M&A, and venture investments. Earlier in his career, he was CEO of Inphi, President of Quantum Corporation, and President of Agilent Technologies’ Semiconductor Group, which later became Avago Technologies. Young currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Arm and Cadence Design Systems. He is also Chairman of the Advisory Board of Samsung Semiconductor and Chairman of HARMAN International. He attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied Electrical Engineering, and the MIT Sloan School of Management. Over the course of his career, Young has been recognized as “the best connected chip executive in the semiconductor industry.”*
